Parker PureTec® Automated Tangential Flow Filtration System

Benefits

Complete Development System

Designed for process development, the PureTec® provides a comprehensive solution for concentration and diafiltration workflows in a single, automated platform.

Real-Time Data & Optimisation

Continuously collects and displays real-time filtration data, enabling quick adjustments and performance optimisation using built-in tools.

Scalable Parameters for Easy Tech Transfer

Parameters are fully scalable, ensuring a smooth transition from development to pilot or production-scale systems.

Flow and Automated Pressure Control

Precisely maintains flow rates and transmembrane pressure (TMP), allowing consistent performance in both constant rate and constant pressure modes.

Safe, Walk-Away Operation

Automation and alarm-based safety features allow for hands-free processing and reduced manual oversight.

Intuitive User Interface

A user-friendly application interface simplifies setup, operation, and monitoring—even for complex protocols.

Application Benefits

Concentration

  • Flexible Control: Operates in either constant rate or constant pressure mode, with adjustable parameters that can be changed without stopping the pump.
  • Optimisation:
    • In constant rate mode, stepwise increases in feed rate alongside permeate monitoring help determine the optimal feed rate for maximum yield.
    • In constant pressure mode, stepwise increases in TMP help identify the pressure that delivers the highest permeate flow.

Diafiltration

  • Electrolyte Removal: Efficiently removes salts and other undesired solutes by replacing permeate with fresh exchange buffer through a selected TFF membrane.
  • Constant Volume Control: In constant volume diafiltration, the system automatically replaces removed permeate with an equal volume of exchange buffer, typically requiring ~10 volume exchanges.
  • Small Volume Solution – Suction-Based Diafiltration: A SciLog® pressure vessel feeds buffer into the retentate vessel, maintaining a closed system until programmable end points are reached.
  • Large Volume Solution – ChemTec® Integration: For higher volumes, the ChemTec® system uses a balance to monitor and replenish fluid levels in the retentate vessel, maintaining buffer exchange until a target volume is reached.
